I like walking in nature, along flower- and tulipfields, along the North Sea coast and the Atlantic Ocean, in polders, heathlands and forests in the Netherlands, The Alps, Pyrenees and rugged mountainous regions in Scandinavia.
Nature is in my mind. That is why many of my paintings are about nature, about landscape.

Lintumaalaukset: Olen kiinnostunut maalaamisesta kuten vanhat mestarit Rembrandt ja Hals maalasivat, terävillä siveltimen vedoilla, täsmällisesti ja luottavaisesti, osoittaen selkeyttä ja eloisuutta, ei maalaamalla jokaisen höyhenen, linnun jalan tai oksan tarkkaa yksityiskohtaa. Ehdotus heijastaa paljon enemmän linnun elinvoimaa. Maalaan ytimen, en enempää.
