BLACK ARROW :

Black Arrow on 1980-luvulla syntynyt taiteilija, jota on ravinnut urban kulttuuri ja lapsuuden sarjakuvat. Hänen allekirjoituksensa – musta nuoli – syntyi kadulla, yksinkertaisesta ja instinctiivisesta eleestä: merkitsemään merkki, joka pysäyttää katseen, saa katsojan kiinnittymään ja katsomaan toisaalle.

For him, the arrow is not just a graphic symbol. It is a message, an invitation to break out of the frame, to resist imposed meaning, to invent his own path. By repeating it on city walls, he sought to create a discreet poetry amid concrete, a reminder to pedestrians that there are always other directions possible.

This arrow has since become his emblem, accompanying all his creations. Its support, radical and singular, is the banknote as well as the newspaper – which he diverts and transforms into works. Black Arrow chooses for this faithful replicas of banknotes, which allow him to explore the symbol of value itself and reinvent it as a poetic and critical vector. In these works, his arrow crosses icons of pop culture and the colorful imagination of cartoons from the 80s and 90s.
