Kaappi on richly decorated with hand-painted Oriental scenes depicting Chinese figures, bamboo, floral motifs, fans and a large pheasant, with matching decoration extending to the side panels and corner pilasters. The interior offers generous storage with two adjustable shelves.
Constructed in solid wood with traditional panelled back and quality craftsmanship, this decorative cabinet reflects the strong influence of Chinese export furniture produced for the European market during the late 19th century.
