Maantiede- ja matkakirjojen huutokauppa (arabialaiset perinnekirjat ja -kartat)

Tyylikäs Qur-aanin käsikirjoitus ruostumattomalle paperille hajonneesta Ottomaanien valtakunnan aikaisesta varhaisesta 1800-luvun lopun aikaisesta Quraanista, sisältäen tekstiä kapeasta luvusta 23, Surah al-Mu'minun (Miehet, jotka uskovat), v:1-17. Lehtinen avautuu basmalaan. Nämä jakeet kuvaavat todellisten uskovien ydinominaisuuksia, jotka saavuttavat iankaikkisen menestyksen, seuraten ihmisen luomisen biologisia vaiheita, kuoleman, ylösnousemuksen ja taivaan majesteetin. Vasen marginaaliin on kiinnitetty erittäin tyylitelty illuminoitu medaali, joka näyttää sisältävän tyylitellyn kultaisen

A fine Quranic manuscript on burnished paper from a dispersed Ottoman Quran of the early C19th, containing scripture from chapter 23, Surah al-Mu'minum (The Believers), v:1-17. The leaf opens with the basmala. These verses outlines the core qualities of true believers who achieve eternal success, followed by the biological stages of human creation, mortality, resurrection, and the majesty of the heavens. A highly stylised illuminated medallion in the left margin marks the beginning of the chapter and seems to contain a stylised gilded "Muhammad", with letters in white against gold.

The scripture is written in nashki black ink. The verses are marked by gold aya (of irregular size and form which is quite unusual) and the text has a few diacritical markings in red for devotees to follow. The script is framed in a thick gold frame with thin blue and red outer frame lines. This is really lovely decorative manuscript.

Please note that shipping costs are not solely the cost of the postal delivery service itself. Included within the shipping price is the work undertaken to prepare the article, for photography, for uploading to Catawiki, for preparation and packaging the article securely and for transporting the article to the postal delivery agent for processing.

Also, please consider when bidding on this lot that this artwork is shipped from the UK. Import duties will now have to be paid by the recipient to the Postal Service when the parcel arrives in your country. This will likely vary between 5% and 20% of the sale price depending on your country's Import Rate, so please check this if you are concerned. This is a Tax collected on behalf of your Government and is not an additional fee charged by us.

New German customs regulations mean that we are now having to pay customs before the item leaves the UK. Regrettably we have to pass these costs on through a surcharge on postage to Germany. As we don't know the final auctions costs we have estimated the approximate value. If the custom costs more than we have anticipated, we will absorb the additional customs duty.
