For analog operation, a plug is used (see picture of circuit board) and if digital operation is desired, the plug is removed and an 8 pin decoder can used.
The locomotive has two white and red lights that change depending on the direction of travel.
The model has been tested both analogue and digitally and it works excellently in both directions of travel.
