A traditional "Grand Arôme" rum, bottled in 2016 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of La Maison du Whisky. Founded by Emile Hugot between 1948 and 1950, the Savanna distillery has been located on the Bois Rouge sugar estate in the northeast of Réunion Island since 1992. It is one of the few distilleries in the world to market a rum made using a very long fermentation process (15 days), known as "Grand Arôme." This version unfolds with remarkable freshness and smoothness, displaying medicinal, fruity, spicy, herbaceous, and floral notes of rare intensity that linger in the taster's olfactory and gustatory memory.
