Vase Moca 41/100 > New version in porcelain!
Limited edition of 100 pieces, numbered and signed. Comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Ten Thousand Drops is a series of 100 unique ceramic vases: they all have the same shape but different glazing patterns. The project results from a continuous experiment with the dripping machine MOCA, developed by Studio Joachim-Morineau. The machine drips liquid glaze at a certain rhythm which creates innovative ceramics with a distinct visual language. Every piece is unique and showcases the combination of technology and craft with a human/natural touch.
They drip glazing on top of the vase to create a mathematical pattern: 10,000 drops. Playing with the computer code, they want to push the limit of the technique and see how many combinations they can make.
To see how the making process, you can watch this video https://youtu.be/eptIai3oI74
Material: porcelain with coloured glazing on the outside and transparent glazing on the inside.
Production: Slip-cast and finish by hand in our workshop in Eindhoven.
The pattern is made with the dripping machine.
