Larcis Ducasse is an 11-hectare château in the Saint Emilion Grand Cru appellation. It is classified as a premier grand cru classé and has belonged to the Raba family since 1893. Nicolas Thienpont currently runs the estate. Merlot is king here, complemented by Cabernet Franc, which benefits from a fully south-facing exposure. The vineyard features 60-metre-high terraces with a soil of white clay, ensuring good drainage for the vines. The wines are the result of careful work in the vineyard, including pruning, bending and tying of canes to wires, debudding, wire raising and trimming. In the winery, separate wines are made from each plot to allow the diversity of the terroirs to show through
