A small collection of three antique Delft tiles, circa 1700, each measuring circa 13x13cm and together weighing 854g, depicting a fishing boat, a stork (emblem of the city of Den Haag) and a religious scene. The religious themed tile depicts a scene featuring the devil giving Jesus three challenges in the desert (as described in Deuteronomy). A similar tile is located at the Ottoman Bardo Palace in Algers, see picture. Condition: Overall good, the usual crazing, rim abrasions and minor chips associated with antique tiles, no further damages or repairs. Minor wear commensurate with age. This lot will be carefully packaged and sent by registered and insured mail.
