Traces of original polychromy and gilding are visible beneath later repainting, indicating historical interventions over time.
The upholstery retains early materials, including traditional horsehair stuffing and hand-applied webbing. The red damask fabric appears to be an old upholstery layer and is now in worn condition, offering an interesting glimpse into the chair’s layered history.
