Az 1935-ös svájci 20 frankos "Vreneli" sokkal több, mint egy gyönyörű aranypénz; emlékmű a monetáris semlegességért és a Nagy Gazdasági Világszéllás túléléséért. Míg a világ többi része feladta az arany standardot és leértékelte valutáit a 1930-as évek gazdasági összeomlásának túléléséért, Svájc az utolsó bástyák egyike maradt a "kemény pénz" védelmében.
