Chinese porcelain semi egg shell cup and saucer, marked – Kangxi – early 18th century
On offer is a thinly potted Chinese porcelain cup and saucer both with the same central floral decoration and the same crackled ice pattern at the rim. The cup has a 6 character Chenghua mark at the bottom and the saucer has a symbol mark “jade” at the bottom. Both the cup and the saucer are made of the same high-quality porcelain without impurities, very white and translucent. Provenance: from a private Dutch collection from North Holland province in the Netherlands. Very rare set!
Date: Kangxi period 1662-1722, ca. 1700.
Size: Saucer measures ca. 9,8cm across. Cup measures ca. 6cm across.
Condition: Restored; no missing parts. Both cup and saucer are restored to a high and safe standard.
