Appetising and richly rewarding , this supreme
28 year old example of The Singleton of
Dufftown comes from a handful of cask
individually selected by Master Blender
Maureen Robinson, for their special
smoothness and singular lavour.
Made subtle by long maturation, it still retains
its lively, malty and nutty distillery character
Beautifully structured and paced, it is at once
fresh and alive on the palate, yet also
evocative of the past; complex and exciting,
intricate and intriguing
The nose teases with soft apple and pear fruit,
faint smoke and complex floral notes. The
palate is rich and sweet, rather like a
honey-coated wholewheat cereal. The finish is
warming and deliciously drying, with tingling
echoes of pine and cedar and a lingering last
whisp of smoke
