Beautiful, vintage Eterna-Matic automatic wristwatch in exceptionally well-preserved condition! Produced in Switzerland in the approximately 1961, this elegant Eterna-Matic represents the outstanding quality and classic design that made Eterna one of the most respected names in Swiss watchmaking. The watch features a stainless steel waterproof case with a clean, classic profile and all original marked components, including the signed crown and case back. The silky silver-white dial is simply stunning. Nearly free from any noticeable blemishes, it retains its original finish and presents beautifully with applied baton hour markers, and matching hands. Please note that there is a tiny piece of dust on the dial (see photos), which can easily be removed by a blow of compressed air. The minimalist design gives the watch a refined and versatile appearance that remains as attractive today as it was over 60 years ago. At its heart beats Eterna’s own in-house automatic movement, running smoothly and keeping time as intended. The movement functions correctly, although it has not been tested over an extended period and no claims regarding long-term accuracy or water resistance are made. Please keep in mind that this watch is more than 60 years old! Finding an example in this level of preservation is becoming increasingly difficult. The case remains sharp with only light signs of wear consistent with careful use, while the dial presents elegantly and confidently. Overall, the watch is in outstanding vintage condition. The watch is fitted with a brand-new, age-appropriate vintage brown leather strap which complements the silver-white dial beautifully and provides a comfortable, elegant wearing experience on wrists up to 22 cm in circumference! The case measures 34 mm excluding the crown, with an 18 mm lug width - a classic vintage size that wears larger than the dimensions suggest and remains perfectly balanced on the wrist.
