Each image is broken down into vertical striations, then reorganized through horizontal bands. The colors, contrasts, and original structure remain present, but are displaced until they produce an almost abstract composition. The masterpiece remains present, fragmented, like a visual memory that the viewer gradually reconstructs. The series opens a passage between collective memory and the contemporary transformation of the image. In this work, the original image is transformed into a minimalist composition where perception and imagination are deliberately unsettled.
