This instrument features the 'Système Albert', which Jacques Albert patented in 1900.
Pitch in ‘Diapason Normal” A=435Hz.
I asked, and got it inspected by the fames Stefaan Verdegem in Belgium. (Conservatorium Brussel)
He is an expert in period performance, specializing in the 19th-century oboe and English horn (cor anglais)
Received documentation of old news reports and history of the Oboe.
Tis Oboecan also been seen in the museum in Antwerp called (Het Vleeshuis)
It is marked JACQUES ALBERT on all three body sections:
motif: sunburst / JACQUES ALBERT / BRUXELLES / motif: sunburst
It is made of German silver and Cocuswood.
No Serial number, this indicates an older model then the 1910 editions.
The Oboe is in very good condition; the case still functions perfectly, though it shows significant wear.
Original key not included.
Documentation History can be sent after purges if asked for.
