Up for auction: An outstanding bottle of Mortlach "The Katana's Edge" from the prestigious Diageo Special Releases 2023 collection: Spirited Xchange. Known as "The Beast of Dufftown" for its thick, muscular distillate created through a unique 2.81 distillation process, this limited edition takes Mortlach into unexplored territory. Finished in a combination of ex-Kanosuke Japanese whisky casks and ex-Pinot Noir casks. This innovative dual-cask finish balances Mortlach's signature savory, meaty umami depth with sweet, crisp fruitiness and subtle oak spices inspired by the precision of a samurai blade.
