This is an original mixed-media painting by Romanian artist Maria Postea, depicting the exposed lakebed of a drained lake in Drumul Taberei Park, Bucharest, Romania. Entitled "Reflections", the work was created in 2026 and captures crows standing on the lakebed among scattered pools of water that reflect the surrounding light. The painting combines textured sand with smooth acrylic paint, creating a contrast between rough, grainy surfaces and fluid, luminous reflections. Maria uses playful brushstrokes and varied textures to bring the scene to life, emphasizing the contrast between the dry lakebed and the remaining patches of water.
