Vaso quadrato in cloisonné smaltato giapponese dell’epoca Meiji, su fondo blu scuro, con una colomba accanto a un ciliegio in fiore, base con iris e crisantemi multicolori, 15,5 cm di altezza e 5 cm di lato, in buone condizioni con scheggiature sul bordo e restauri sul retro, accompagnato dal certificato di autenticità originale.

A square cloisonné vase with rounded corners on a dark blue ground, decorated with a dove in flight beside a flowering cherry tree.
At the base, a dense group of multicoloured irises and chrysanthemums among green leaves. The reverse shows a single flowering branch.
Cherry blossoms (sakura, 桜) embody the transient beauty of life, renewal, and the ephemeral nature of existence. It is one of the most celebrated motifs in Japanese art.
The chrysanthemum (kiku, 菊), the imperial flower and emblem of the Japanese Imperial House, represents nobility, health, and long life.
