Descrizione del venditore

No competition, no doubt: best guitarplayer ever is the one and only Jimi. Boy, could he play! If only we could see him live, that was where he was at his best. After his death, hundreds of live-records were released, but on offer here the true real big ones, in fine form. rerelease along with three other discs.

1. After three studio albums, Jimi dismantled his Experience. Live he needed other musicians that could keep up with his frantic playing. Enter Buddy Miles and Billy Cox, whom had joined him on Woodstock . Et presto, a Band of Gypsys was born. That also became the title of his best live album, recorded new years eve at the Fillmore. Here on offer a special American issue, with gatefold sleeve from sturdy carton (most records have a single sleeve). This is the famed Winchester pressing, as proven by the red label, the stamped 'Mastered by Capitol' and the red lettering on the sleeve.
Capitol, STAO 472, USA, 1970. Vinyl mint, sleeve VG+ (shadowing)

2. Band of Gypsys 2. A lesser known extension of the first. One side has three more songs from that concert (Hear my train a-coming, Foxy Lady and Stop), the other one has tracks recorded at the Atlanta pop festival and in Berkely (Voodoo Child, Stone Free and Ezy rider). It was released in 1986, which meant that the tracks sound far, far better than those on BofG1!
Capitol Records, 64 261174-11986, Netherlands. Vinyl mint, sleeve mint.

3. Hendrix in the West. Released soon after his death. It features the Experience with Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell, on side one. On side two Redding is replaced by Billy Cox, his Woodstock and Band of Gypsies-mate. A second divide is that half of the tracks were recorded in dthe Us, the others in England (featuring The Queen, and Sgt Pepper, famously played the day that album was released with a stunned McCartney in the audience.
Polydor, 2310 161, 1972, Germany. Vinyl mint, sleeve NM

All records are well-kept, check the pictures. They will be preciously packed and swiftly send,
