PROVENANCE: This lot comes from the private collection of Mr. J. Bahamonde who over a period of 20 years acquired his collection from various prestigious dealers. His degree in archaeology from one of the best British universities and passion for Chinese art is reflected in this beautiful plate.

A fine Chinese blue and white plate decorated at the centre with a phoenix perched on a rock, the underside with mark.

Width: 21.5 cm.

Height: 3 cm.


Condition: Very good, with vibrant blue underglaze blue; a few manufacturing flaws such as glaze gaps on the rim. NO repairs. NO cracks.
