Originale insegna smaltata di prevenzione degli incendi della prefettura di Nagano, Giappone, rotonda 30 cm, in condizioni discrete.
Descrizione del venditore
This is an original vintage Japanese fire-prevention enamel sign issued by Nagano Prefecture (長野県) and related to national forest protection (森林国営保険). Signs of this style—with the illustrated squirrel, bold red flame motif, and a strong yellow background—were commonly produced and installed during the 1970s (Showa era) for forest fire awareness campaigns.
The round format (30 cm) is less common than rectangular variants and is highly sought after among collectors of Japanese enamel signage. The design shows a smoking cigarette marked “たばこ” and a cartoon squirrel warning hikers to prevent wildfires — a classic Showa-era public safety aesthetic.
The enamel coating retains good gloss, with minor chips, scratches, and light edge wear visible in the photos. The back shows appropriate aging and oxidation for an authentic mid-Showa enamel sign. No restoration.
