On Boxing day 1958 Jim Clark did his first race in a Lotus Elite. It was this race and this car that put him on the map with Colin Chapman (who won, Jimmy was second) and launched his F1 career with Team Lotus.
Colin Chapman won the race with Lotus Elite #57 less than two seconds ahead of Clark ... Michael Costin was third with Lotus Elite #58 five seconds behind Clark ...
