Barbara Schaumann is a contemporary artist born in 1961 in Germany, who is capturing vibrant, abstract interpretations of movement and dance. Her work uniquely blends bold colours with modern, geometric shapes, drawing inspiration from elements of cubism and abstraction. For many years, Schaumann worked as an art teacher, inspiring young minds with her passion for creativity and expression. Beyond her artistic pursuits, Schaumann is an avid dancer, embracing traditional styles such as Irish, Scottish, and standard ballroom dances.

This passion for movement deeply influences her work, infusing it with a sense of rhythm and energy. Her art celebrates the fluidity and strength of the female body, resulting in striking compositions that blend traditional themes with fresh, contemporary aesthetics.
