Ancient Egyptian Faience Shabti for Iri-maat
New Kingdom, ca. 19th Dynasty, ca. 1293-1185 B.C.



This is really a fantastic ancient Egyptian shabti with a brilliant blue glazed faience from the New Kingdom. On the front with a vertical column of hieroglyphs reading: The Osiris, the Chantress Iri-maat. Size is a little bit larger than 10,5 cm, depends how deep it is in the wooden stand. According to the former owner this shabti and another were bought in the early 90s at Christie`s East Auction in New York.

Condition: intact

Provenance: private collection of Mr. D.J.H. (USA), bought in the early 1990s. Prior to that old collection (USA), formed before 1960.
