** Johannes Tauler (Strasbourg, c 1300 - Strasbourg, 15 or 16 June 1361) was a German mystic and belonged to the Dominican order. The great reformer Luther, who incorrectly attributed ‘Theologia Deutsch’ (also known as ‘Theologia Germanica’) to him, regarded him a kindred spirit.
