Fine set in English Sheffield alloy, comprising:
1 coffee pot;
1 sugar bowl;
1 milk jug
Judging by the hallmarks the producer should be Thomas Otley, a silversmith active in the second half of the 19th century.
There are some signs of wear, typical of used objects put on display around the house; the photos show that an acorn is missing from the decorative lid of the sugar bowl, the coffee pot handle is dented and a spacer is missing at the bottom.
This does not compromise the beauty of the set, finely crafted with burin, rhodium plating and embossed details.
Happy bidding everyone!
