Ancient Scythian Iron Classical Axe Head, a type used against the Persion Invasion (Darius I campaign in 513 BC.).
This type was wrapped on the stick/rod and the light weight is very suitable for the tactic that the scythians ( see Herodotus, Histories) of hiding and spontaneous fast attacks over the enemy.
Typical brownish surface bu stable metal and good grade of preservation for this interesting axe.
