The Pouilly Fumé wine region extends over 1224 hectares along the Loire River,
200 km south of Paris.
DOMAINE ANDRE DEZAT ET FILS
Area: 15 hectares.
Soils: 20% “Terres blanches”, 37% “Caillottes”, 43% siliceous-clay.
Grape varieties and density: Sauvignon Blanc and 6,700 vines/hectare.
Average age of vines: 25 years.
Sorting of the grapes, pneumatic pressing, long alcoholic fermentation (around 30
to 60 days) at controlled temperature (16-19 °C) followed by ageing on the fine lees
for 3 months.
Colour: Pale yellow with a beautiful sheen.
Nose: Intense with light aromas of passion fruit, peach and citrus.
Palate: Harmonious and predominantly floral with a mixture of light peach and citrus
aromas, wrapped in lovely minerality on the finish.
Our Pouilly Fumé will be best appreciated as an aperitif or as an accompaniment
seafood, fish, white meats or goat cheeses such as Crottin de Chavignol.
Serve chilled (8-10 °C).
