Headdress with mask from West Africa, yellow, brown and red painted wooden mask, ornamented with cowrie shells on the head and bronze bells on the chin, textile headwear with a cylindrical, multi-coloured extension at the back of the head, decorated with glass mirrors and cowrie shells, ribbons of fabric for attaching it, 2 unexplained appliques on the mask, real teeth on the mouth, heavily soiled cowrie shells, mirrors left in their original condition. Paint has flaked off in the eye region. Height 23 cm, width 15 cm, depth 79 cm, weight 2.13 kg. Shipped as an insured DHL parcel up to 5 kg.
