1936-39. Spanish Civil War. People's Army of the Second Republic. Quartermaster Corps. Excellent set of republican quartermaster corps in excellent condition: 1) Collective cloth medal with the golden metallic emblem of quartermaster officer of regular indigenous troops of the Spanish army in Morocco. Good embroidery, unused.
2) Two emblems for the collar of an officer jacket of the republican popular army, civil war, rear pin hooks. Never used. Perfect condition.
3) Two emblems for the neck of a troop jacket of the republican popular army, civil war, rear pin hooks. Never used. Perfect condition.
The People's Army of the Republic (EPR), also known as the Republican Army, the People's Army, or the Red Army (a name used by Franco's army), was the name adopted by the Spanish Army of the Second Spanish Republic after the reorganisation undertaken by its authorities and the dissolution of the volunteer militias that emerged in the first months of the Spanish civil war. It was the first of the tasks undertaken by the new republican government made up of all the Popular Front parties, communists, socialists and republicans and the CNT and UGT unions. On October 16, 1936 the order by which the Minister of War, Largo Caballero, assumed command of all the armed forces and the unification and integration of the popular militias of political parties, unions and volunteers in the People's Army was published.
