Il “Luce” è il vino rosso ideale per accendere la vostra serata quando avete voglia di viziarvi con un vino di qualità assoluta. Una bottiglia che nasce dalla collaborazione fra Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi e Robert Mondavi, genio della Napa Valley, nella Tenute Luce della Vite a Montalcino. La proficua partnership prende forma con il primo vino frutto di un blend tra Sangiovese, che dona struttura ed eleganza, e Merlot, che apporta rotondità e morbidezza, realizzato in questa zona, da sempre dedita alla vinificazione in purezza del Sangiovese per il Brunello di Montalcino. Un azzardo che però ha dato i suoi frutti e che merita di essere inserito nella lista dei vostri desideri.

Questo “Luce” nasce da un sapiente assemblaggio di due uve a bacca rossa, l’internazionale Merlot e l’altra fortemente identificativa del terroir toscano, il Sangiovese. Le uve vengono vendemmiate tra la prima e l’ultima settimana di settembre. Il mosto fermenta per 12 giorni in vasche di acciaio inox termocondizionate a una temperatura che non supera mai i 28 gradi, macerando sulle bucce per 4 settimane. La malolattica si svolge poi in barrique. Rimane ad affinare per 24 mesi in barrique nuove all’85%.
