In 1989, 2 famous researchers Fleischmann and Pons published an article in the newspaper describing “Cold Fusion.” This announcement caused a sensation because, if proven, it opened up access to clean, unlimited and cheap energy.
Dozens of teams around the world immediately reoriented themselves towards this subject, but unfortunately, none were able to reproduce the results of Fleischmann and Pons. The initial article was proven wrong.
Volume 261/2A from 10 April 1989 was printed in a few hundred copies, most of which ended up bound in university library collections. It has not been reissued.
As a result, very few isolated copies have circulated, which makes this booklet an extremely rare item - Perhaps one of a kind - and an indisputable witness to scientific research and its meandering path.
