This is the dragon head square pot, a bronze vessel used by Chinese aristocrats to store wine in the Western Zhou Dynasty. There is a powerful bronze tiger on the top of the dragon head square pot, two dragon heads on both sides of the pot, the center of the pot is carved with complex patterns, and in the middle is a sheep head representing good luck and good harvest. The body is also decorated with many patterns representing auspiciousness and wealth. 3000 years ago, it was both a bronze wine vessel used by the Chinese aristocracy, but also represents supreme power, and rich historical stories. In order to better illustrate the value of this wine vessel, I have shown a similar wine vessel (CAI Gong Square Pot) in the Anhui Museum of China, please note that it is a bronze work of the Warring States period, which is a full 500 years later than the dragon head square pot I am going to sell.
