A rare spout-and-handle effigy bottle of a spotted dog. Bychrome with cream large dots over brownish background. Round body and large head. The dog was one of the very few domesticated animals in the Andes. The Moche believed that dogs escorted the dead to the underworld, effigy dogs were found in many Moche burial sites. Early Moche, Peru, 100-450 CE
