An art deco ceramic antelope figurine by French sculptor Charles Lemanceau, manufactured by Saint Radegonde or Saint Clément around the 1930s.
The figurine depicts a stylized gazelle with its head dramatically arched backwards, a characteristic Art Deco pose.
It is made of glazed ceramic or faience, often found in brown, cream, or a cracked "craquelé" finish.
Charles Lemanceau (1905-1980) was a prominent sculptor known for his animal studies during the Art Deco period.
The pieces were produced by potteries such as Saint Radegonde and Saint Clément, and while some are signed, not all pieces bear a mark.
