Veggur - Tre, Messing - 1940–1950

Exceptional Gustavian Cartel Wall Clock – Stockholm – 19th Century Refined Gustavian cartel wall clock from private collection, made for the Swedish market in the 19th century. The enamel dial is inscribed “Stockholm”, a characteristic feature of clocks retailed in Sweden during this period. The finely carved giltwood case displays balanced Gustavian proportions with elegant floral and drapery motifs, retaining an attractive original patina. The overall form is harmonious and of notably high decorative quality. The clock is fitted with a numbered German brass movement, striking the hours on a bell. Dimensions 50 × 34 × 13 cm approx. 19.7 × 13.4 × 5.1 in Key and pendulum included. Carefully packed and shipped with tracking.
