This is a Kazuwayaki vase, made using a method from Tottori Prefecture, Japan. Kazuwayaki uses a uranium glaze to achieve its unique color. This vase is characterized by its deep burgundy color and translucent glaze. Unfortunately, all Kazuwayaki kilns have now closed. Only existing pieces remain. Vases in particular are rare and therefore extremely rare. The vase's appearance changes depending on the angle from which you view it. The red color gives an artistic impression. The texture of the underlying clay, visible in places, adds to its atmosphere. The condition is excellent, with no cracks or chips.
