1/16 AR Shekel from Phoenicia, Sidon, minted during the reign of Ba'alšillem II (401-366 BC). This beautifully preserved ancient coin, over 2,400 years old, exemplifies the remarkable craftsmanship of Phoenician artistry in a compact form.
Obverse: Phoenician galley sailing, with the letter ("Beth") above and waves below.
Reverse: Depiction of a Persian king or hero wielding a dagger in combat with a lion, with the symbol "O" , between them.
