Oldtidens Kina, Ming dynastiet Terrakotta Votivplate Tsa-Tsa med enestående avbildning av Buddha Tara (Ingen reservasjonspris)

Exceptional ancient Chinese terracotta votive tsa-tsa tablet, dating to the Ming dynasty (1368–1644 AD). The sculpture depicts the protective Buddha Tara, a compassionate deity venerated in Buddhism as a guardian figure and a guide on the path toward spiritual liberation. The tablet is executed with remarkable precision and attention to detail, preserving a well-balanced, circular composition. The deity is shown seated in a meditative posture upon a lotus throne, a powerful symbol of purity and enlightenment. Behind the figure, finely modeled floral ornaments enhance the composition and emphasize the sacred and divine nature of the representation. * Tsa-tsa tablets are unique religious artifacts used as votive offerings which were placed or buried in reliquary chambers to worship and to enhance the spiritual power of the ancient Buddhist temples.
