Manufactured by Katsushika Sanko Manufacturing Co. 1:43 - Modellbil - Volkswagen Beetle - Friksjonsdrevet metalleker VW Beetle blå, tinleker

Condition: Open Box Unlike electrically powered toys activated by a single switch, this friction-powered toy utilizes physical inertia for semi-permanent play. Its tinplate body delivers a realistic feel distinct from plastic. Tokyo Katsushika Sanko Manufacturing's Friction Powered METAL TOY VW BLUE Beetle Friction Volkswagen West Germany Red Box This is the legendary Volkswagen Type I, known to all as the Beetle—the world's most mass-produced vehicle. Its beautifully curved classic car body, fenders, bumper, chassis, tail lamps, and side moldings are all crafted from metal, creating an exceptionally realistic deep-colored finish that mirrors the real car. A major feature of this model is its all-metal construction (excluding the rubber tires), as mentioned above. Even more impressive are the authentic details: the cooling vents on the rear engine hood, the raised license plate light, the VW logo on the hood crafted from a tiny mold under 5mm, and the wheel caps with their distinct chrome VW lettering. The bumper, lights, hood emblem, and center molding retain their beautiful vintage chrome finish. However, the side molding and wheel caps show slight discoloration, particularly the side molding, which has developed a darkened patina over time. Please refer to the photos for confirmation. Plastic molding is limited to the windows. This luxurious finish, a testament to the engineering prowess that underpinned Japan's industrial rise, was achieved without compromise on production costs. As one of the smallest tinplate press-molded models, press lines remain visible at the front fenders and window pillars. These lines are an unavoidable mark of the single-process manufacturing method. This Showa-era retro toy is environmentally friendly—batteries never run out, and it won't break from minor drops. The luxurious presentation box, common among vintage tin toys, features a cleanly printed “West Germany-VW” Made in Japan label on thick cardboard instead of stickers, making it suitable for gifting. Note: While the VW logo appears similar, this specific design features the thicker, uncircled logo used from 1967 to 1978. As this is an older item, please examine the photos carefully. Please note this is an older product over 20 years old. The box shows scuffing, fading, light scratches, and dirt. This is a discontinued item. 100% authentic. Please carefully review the photos for condition details. 【Economy Shipping】 Japan Post: €30 (with tracking number) / Delivery period (approx. 2-4 weeks + processing time) To International Customers Please note: Import duties, taxes, and fees are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Before bidding or purchasing, please check with your country's customs office regarding any additional costs. #classictoys
