Movement: quarter repetition movement, movement protected by additional crystal A quarter repeater is a mechanical watch that chimes the number of hours and the number of quarter-hours on request. It uses two different tones: a low tone for hours and a higher tone for the quarter-hours. For example, at 2:45, it would chime two low tones for the hours and three high tones for the three quarter-hours.
