Byōbu sammenleggbar skjerm - En seks-panel Byōbu (屏風) foldeskjerm av papir med en landskapsscene. - Japan - Meiji-perioden (slutten av 1800-tallet)
A six-panel paper screen with gilt frame depicting an elegant landscape rendered in sumi-e ink. Mountains, pavilions, and calm waters merge in a balanced composition inspired by traditional Japanese painting.
Signed and sealed by the artist in the lower left corner.
The panels are framed by two elegant silk borders, while a lacquered wooden frame completes and protects the screen.
The screen can also be easily mounted on a wall or used as a room divider.
Byōbu (屏風), literally “wind protection screens,” are traditional Japanese folding screens originally created to divide spaces and today appreciated above all as striking wall-mounted paintings.
---The byobu is in good condition, with minor signs of wear due to age and imperfections on the paper and gold leaf frame. A stain is visible at the top of the sixth panel. Please refer to the pictures for further details.
The item will be carefully packed and shipped via DHL or FedEx, accompanied by the original certificate of authenticity issued by Mastromauro Japanese art gallery based in Milan, Italy.
