The three high-value aviation cards (Immelmann, Boelcke, Oswald) are not included and will be offered separately. Contents & Highlights This album spans the entire war period and includes: Dozens of authentic Feldpost cards with clear regimental stamps, censor marks and handwritten messages. Coloured and black-and-white wartime postcards depicting: – destroyed towns and villages in Belgium and France – troop marches and prisoner transports – winter landscapes from the Hartmannsweilerkopf sector – harbour and coastal scenes (Ostend, Antwerp) – patriotic and propaganda artworks – naval and marine illustrations Portrait photographs of officers and soldiers, including studio portraits and early printed lithographic images. City postcards from Posen, Liegnitz, Brussels, Antwerp, etc., many sent during wartime with 1914–1917 postmarks. Numerous handwritten field letters documenting daily life, movements, hospital stays, and personal thoughts during the war. Several hand-coloured cards, typical of early 20th-century German postcard production. Condition The album is over 100 years old and remains in good, complete condition. Cards are well preserved with strong colours and legible writing. Minor foxing, edge wear, and small age marks are present, consistent with historical material of this period. Album pages and mounting corners remain original.
