Signed, Martin Parr - Fashion Newspaper - 2007

Fashion Newspaper Martin Parr Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography/2007/Japanese/310*415*5 Fashion Newspaper by Martin Parr, a collection of works by Martin Parr, one of the leading photographers of the 20th century. Described by photography master Henri Cartier-Bresson as “an alien from another solar system,” Parr became a member of Magnum Photos and revolutionized the style of journalism, greatly influencing later photographers with his use of extreme close-ups and color. He is also one of the foremost collectors of photobooks, and his contribution to introducing numerous photobooks from around the world to the public and bringing photobooks into popularity is immeasurable. This tabloid-sized book was published in conjunction with an exhibition held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography in 2007. While following the style of the 2005 publication ‘Fashion Magazine’, it adopts a simpler format. The collaboration with fellow British fashion designer Paul Smith, who is also immensely popular in Japan, adds a touch of sophistication to this stylish volume.
