Bord - Tre - Edvardiansk butler-tallerken

charming and highly versatile antique Butler’s Tray Table, dating from the early 20th century. This piece is a classic example of English country house furniture, combining practical utility with the decorative elegance of the Edwardian era. Design & Construction The table features a removable, rectangular tray with a deep gallery for security and four integrated, pierced hand-holds for easy transport. The tray rests on its original "X-frame" folding stand. A standout feature of this specific piece is the bobbin-turned (spool-turned) legs, which provide a much more sophisticated and sought-after silhouette than the standard square-leg versions often found. Materials & Finish The piece is crafted from solid Oak (or possibly a dense fruitwood), finished in a rich, dark antique stain that highlights the natural grain. The stand is connected by original canvas webbing, allowing it to be folded flat and stored away when not in use. Condition Report & Marks • General: The table is in good antique condition, remaining structurally sound and sturdy. • Surface Marks: As shown in the detailed photographs, the tray surface and gallery show signs of age and use. There are visible "blooming" marks (light-colored patches) on the wood finish, likely caused by historic heat or moisture. These do not affect the integrity of the piece and add to its authentic antique character. • Stand: The folding mechanism works perfectly. The canvas straps are original and show typical age-related wear but remain strong. • Legs: The bobbin-turning is crisp and well-preserved
