This thick Bi Disk is carved from splendid celadon jade with some russet tones and carved on top in very high relief with 2 sculpturally crafted chilong, chasing each other. 2 Smooth-bodied chi-dragons with flat heads and split tails that end in volutes. The bottom with cloud shape scrolling design. This thick amulet has a light green-white color with brown (russet) highlights. It is a natural colored copy after a Song Dynasty original in authentic, Archaic style! Fine Craftsmanship, with a soft polish and patina. An older jade, rare, and the best one we can offer! Very hard to find! Has been identified as nephrite jade by measuring thermal conductivity and hardness and translucency. Also checked with UV light; which indicates a natural color.
