Chiselled out chair This chair features a hand carved wooden pattern, created by removing the top layer of wood to reveal the distinctive texture beneath. You can feel the 2 mm deep texture. Every detail is crafted entirely by hand, making each piece unique. The idea came about when I wanted to give old wood a new life. By painting it and carving the texture, I created my own wood. I put a lot of time into creating this chair, giving it new meaning. This is part of a collection of chairs that share the same basic design. Each version explores different shapes, colours, and textures. They are crafted from recycled plywood and are inspired by Enzo Mari. Made by Primo Arets.
