Due to the high volume of pages in this lot, only some images were selected. -Lance 10x 1/2 page - 1957-1960 - by Warren Tufts -Little King 87x 1/2 page - 1935-1942 - by Otto Soglow -Willie Doodle 12x 1/2 page - 1940 - by Jay Irving -Nebbs 95x 1/2 page - 1926-1949 - by Wallace Carlson -On Stage 85x 1/2 page - 1959-1965 - by Leonard Starr The pages are in good condition, although wrinkles, tears, flaking and missing pieces may occur. The pages were conserved in brown paper bags and will be delivered as such, however also wrapped in plastic. - Lance was an American comic strip notable as the last of the full-page strips. Created and self-syndicated by artist Warren Tufts, it ran from June 5, 1955, to May 29, 1960. Lance starred U.S. cavalry officer Lance St. Lorne, stationed at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas in the mid-19th century. In tales of settling the Old West frontier, the character crossed paths with such figures as Kit Carson and others. Comics historian Don Markstein said the strip was "characterized by high-quality stories and art, but also by historical accuracy. Unlike, say, Lucky Luke, when Lance met someone who had really lived, that person was as old as he'd actually have been at the time, and in circumstances congruent with the known course of the person's life". Will be shipped with track&trace. #specialcollectionservice
