First edition, and printing of this fascinating travelogue guide to Holland, described by Beatrix Jungman who shares her observations and explorations of various cities and areas in the region, including Utrecht, Overysel, and Groningen among others. The book is wonderfully illustrated with 75 striking full page colour plates, captioned on the tissue guards, by Nico Jungman. Published by Adam and Charles Black, London 1904. Publisher's original blue cloth, with gilt lettering and superbly designed by Nico Jungman, image of orange tree blocked in gilt and colours to upper cover. Spine lettered in gilt. Top page edges gilt. Book Dimensions: 23 x 17 x 4 cm and Number of Pages: 212 + 8 pages of publishers’ books Weight over 1 kg unpackaged Condition External covers are slightly faded, and marked, and with light wear at corners, and minor tear to top spine. Internally the book in very good condition. A little name on top first blank front free endpaper page. Pages are clean with light foxing to the margin of few pages. The colour plates are bright and in nice condition (Please see pictures).
